How does EarthGuard® work?
Designed to work directly with soil, EarthGuard® maintains soil stability by preserving the existing soil structure and encouraging the flocculation of fine sediment that is dislodged by wind or rain.
EarthGuard® is perfect for site protection during the winter when slopes, bare soil, and stockpiles need added protection from the elements. For applications such as re-vegetation and dormant areas, EarthGuard®’s pioneering soil stabilising ability holds soil, seeds, fibre and amendments in place until adequate long-term growth or erosion control protection has taken place.
Why GeoGrow Uses EarthGuard®
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials recently proved EarthGuard®’s effectiveness for erosion control in a vigorous testing process (view more here). It concluded that after being exposed to significant amounts of simulated rainfall, EarthGuard® Fibre Matrix achieved 99.9% effectiveness. It also concluded that it reduces turbidity considerably.
