Rootlok’s vegetated system helps contribute towards Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) through biodiversity, enhanced wildlife habitat, greener infrastructure, carbon reduction & sustainability.

At its core are the Rootlok bags, each weighing 30kg  and filled with a high-organic-content growing medium that promotes rapid germination and supports the establishment of grasses, plants, and shrubs.  

This medium ensures a free-draining system, preventing waterlogging and fostering healthy root development. The bags can be pre-seeded, hydroseeded, or planted, offering flexibility to suit a variety of project requirements.

To secure the structure, Rootlok interlocking plates are utilised. Made from 100% recycled polypropylene, these plates lock the bags together, enhancing stability and ensuring the integrity of the wall. This design not only provides immediate structural support but also facilitates the long-term sustainability of the vegetation, as the interconnected system allows plant roots to intertwine and strengthen the overall construction.

Geomesh features prefabricated steel mesh fascia that is fully customisable to meet the specific requirements of each project. The structure accommodates cohesive reinforced backfill and utilises Class 7C tested soils, providing exceptional strength and durability. The Geoslopes system offers a robust yet natural solution for vegetated retaining structures, combining geotechnical performance with ecological enhancement. Unlike traditional retaining walls that rely on visible hard facings, Geoslopes allows for the creation of fully green slopes using site-won soils and geogrid reinforcement, making it a more sustainable and cost-effective choice for permanent slope stabilisation. 

Designed specifically for slopes up to 45°, this system requires no fascia element. Instead, geogrids extend through the retained soil to the slope face, where they are supported by a coir blanket or erosion control mat. These natural or synthetic coverings are securely pinned to the surface, creating an ideal environment for vegetation to establish and flourish. The result is a stable, reinforced slope with a living green face that blends seamlessly into the landscape. 

For additional surface stability or challenging conditions, Geoslopes can also be integrated with temporary or permanent erosion control blankets, geocell systems, and other soil containment technologies. This makes it a versatile and adaptable solution for retaining structures requiring both environmental sensitivity and technical resilience.
