Design - Manufacture - Install

Welcome back to our 3-part series where we take you behind the scenes of our Design, Manufacture, Install service for the Rootlok Vegetated Wall System. In Part 1, we explored how great design lays the foundation for a successful vegetated wall. Today, we’re diving into the heart of our process—manufacture—where innovation, quality control, and user-friendliness come together to bring your project to life.

A system built for simplicity and strength

At the core of Rootlok is a unique and versatile solution designed for both professionals and homeowners. Our system empowers anyone to install a green wall confidently—without the need for specialist skills or equipment. As the manufacturer and distributor of the Rootlok Vegetated Wall System, we’ve made it our mission to ensure the process is straightforward from the moment the product leaves our facility.

We include easy-to-follow installation guides with every order, and our support doesn’t stop there. Need a little extra guidance? We offer low-cost, on-site daily supervision from one of our experienced engineers to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Made in the UK, Delivered Nationwide

Every Rootlok component is proudly manufactured in the UK, ensuring high-quality production standards and quick turnaround times. We offer two options to suit your project needs:

  • Pre-filled Units: These come ready to install, palletised for convenient delivery and easy handling on-site.
  • Unfilled Units: Prefer to fill the bags yourself? No problem. We’ll supply the bags along with a strict fill material specification to ensure you achieve the vegetation performance Rootlok is known for.

Both options include the correct number of interlocking plates, so you can start building your wall straight away.

Engineered for precision

To guarantee consistency and optimal performance, our bag-filling process is automated. Each pre-filled unit is uniform in size and weight, which is crucial for a professional-looking wall that supports healthy plant growth and long-term stability.

On average, you can expect to install 10m² to 20m² of wall per day—a great rate whether you’re working on a small garden feature or a large-scale infrastructure project.

Let’s Build Something Green

We believe that building sustainable, living infrastructure should be accessible to all. Whether you’re a contractor looking to expand your offering, or a homeowner with a green vision for your outdoor space, our manufacturing process is designed to make your journey smooth, supported, and successful.

Stay tuned for Part 3, where we’ll explore the final step—installation—and show you how we help turn plans and materials into thriving, eco-friendly wall systems.
